Issue / Symptom:  Procedure for upgrading firmware.

NOTE!
Reloading the firmware will set the printer to factory default values. Print the printer's Configuration Report before upgrading then use this report for restoring non-default values after the upgrade.

Send the firmware to the printer using one of these methods:

the DOS COPY/B command
PORT DOS utility that sends raw files directly to a printer's serial or parallel port
The printer will shows the process of the update in the display, then it will initialize when reloading is completed.

Flashing firmware to Remote printer:
Put the printer into 'boot-mode' by pressing the keys '1', '4' and 'online' while switching the printer on
Send the firmware to the printer using PFD Raw Print Utility
The printer will shows the process of the update in the display, then it will initialize when reloading is completed.

Additional Notes/Comments:

After re-loading, set any non-default values using the Configuration Report that you printed before upgrading.
