Resolution:
When installing or upgrading a P5000 printer with a CT
interface, or an IGP kit, or both CT and
IGP kits, the issue of what software and diskettes should be
used will occur. Currently the
product is configured such that the options must be ordered
separately from the base printer.
What should happen is that the order is placed for the CT if CT
only printer, or the order is placed
for the IGP kit (VGL or PGL) if IGP only in printer, or when
both the CT and IGP will be in the
same printer the order is placed for the CT/IGP (PGL or VGL)
kit.

This process works fine unless both options will be installed
in the same printer and the
appropriate kit is not ordered. The software that is in the CT
only kit will not work with the
IGP and the software that is in the IGP only kit will not work
with the CT. When both
options will be in the same printer the sales person must order
the software that supports
both CT and IGP (PGL or VGL). This is identified with both CT
and the IGP emulation on the
label.
